AIG Baker Announces Harbormaster Appointment for The Wharf

Don Vinson Joins The Wharf
Staff in Key Harbormaster Role

May 23, 2005, Orange Beach, Alabama – AIG Baker is pleased to announce the appointment of Capt. Don Vinson (USCG Ret.) as Harbormaster, The Wharf. Don comes to The Wharf following a 30-year career with the United States Coast Guard, where he had responsibilities including officer in charge of a boating safety detachment to 1st Lieutenant on a 13,000 ton icebreaker to Commanding Officer on a 600 ton Coastal Buoy Tender serving the Alabama, Mississippi and Florida of the Intracoastal Waterway. Following his USCG retirement and prior to joining The Wharf, Don held key positions as the Harbormaster for the Jackson County Port Authority in Pascagoula, Ms. and Port Security Director/Dockmaster for Signal International LLC, also located in Pascagoula.

The Wharf, located on the island along the Intracoastal Waterway, will be the largest mixed-use development on the Alabama Gulf Coast.
